Questions we get asked. Plain answers.
Identity, architecture, and each of the four companies. No consultancy-speak. Answers are short on purpose.
Identity
What is CubeGroup?
A focused group of four companies — CubeMC, CARMA, RevMusic, and Choice Catalyst — that engineers the customer environment — audio, signage, and phone — for multi-location brands. We have been operating since 2011 across more than twenty thousand customer-facing environments.
Why four companies, not one?
Each company solves a problem a customer can come for independently. CubeMC manages the AV platform. CARMA owns the entire automated phone experience. RevMusic directs the in-space music. Choice Catalyst applies behavioural science to all of it. Use any one on its own, or together.
Are you a holding company?
No. CubeGroup is a focused group built around one conviction, not a holding-company structure. Coherence comes from shared vision and shared people, not legal form.
Architecture
Which company should I talk to first?
Start with the one closest to what brought you here. AV management across sites? CubeMC. Phone experience? CARMA. In-store music? RevMusic. Measuring what your environment does to customer behaviour? Choice Catalyst. Not sure? Use the form on /contact and we'll point you.
Can I work with just one company?
Yes. Each company sells, deploys, and supports independently. None of them require any of the others to be useful.
What happens if I want to leave one of you?
You leave. RevMusic plays on the equipment you already own. CubeMC works with any music service willing to integrate. CARMA accepts content from any agency you choose. Choice Catalyst is available across all of them but never bundled. None of the four locks any of the others in.
Is Choice Catalyst included with the other companies?
No. Choice Catalyst is opt-in, never bundled. It is the behavioural-science practice that sits across the operating companies. You engage it when the work is worth doing on its own terms.
What does "AV Behaviour Engineering" actually mean?
AV Behaviour Engineering is the named practice — coined and owned by Choice Catalyst — of designing audio, signage, and phone touchpoints for the part of the brain that actually makes the decision. Roughly ninety percent of brain activity is unconscious. That is where most customer decisions are made.
Who uses us
Who uses CubeGroup companies?
Multi-site retail, hospitality, healthcare, fitness, wellness, automotive, and financial-services operators. Most have between twenty and two hundred customer-facing sites. Some have many more.
How long has the platform been running?
Since 2011. More than twenty thousand customer-facing environments are running on it today. The longest deployments are still live more than a decade in.
Do your products work with the equipment I already own?
Mostly yes. CubeMC is AV-over-IP and hardware-agnostic. RevMusic plays on CubeMC, QSYS, Barix, tablets, and many commercial audio systems. CARMA works with BroadWorks, Cisco CUCM, Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, Avaya, Epygi, and many others. If we cannot integrate with what you have, we'll tell you up front.
Do you work with my IT team, or around them?
With them. The platform behaves like other infrastructure your IT team already runs. Most CubeMC deployments are run jointly between IT and the customer-facing team that owns the experience.
Comparisons
How is CARMA different from RingCentral or Genesys?
RingCentral and Genesys sell the phone system or the call-centre platform. CARMA sits between your phone system and your customer, owning the experience the caller hears — hold, IVR, voicemail, after-hours, queue announcements, voice agents. We work with your existing phone system, not in place of it.
What is software-defined AV — and how is it different from a Crestron or QSYS system?
Software-defined AV means audio, signage, paging, and control are configured and operated as software, the same way your IT team already runs networking and security. Crestron and QSYS are systems we integrate with. CubeMC is the platform that turns the whole estate into one managed environment.
Who is the alternative to Mood Media or others for multi-location music?
RevMusic. Music direction, not bundled vendor lock-in. Plays on the equipment you already own. Flat-rate commercial licensing with all PROs covered.
What is the difference between behavioural science consulting and AV Behaviour Engineering?
Behavioural science consulting works across any channel — usually research, surveys, and digital. AV Behaviour Engineering is the named practice — coined and owned by Choice Catalyst — that applies behavioural science specifically to the audio, signage, and phone surfaces where customers physically are. It is consultancy with an operating substrate.
Working with us
How does behavioural science actually change what I should put on my hold line?
The unconscious decides whether the caller waits, hangs up, or buys. Words that consider how the brain actually processes speech, designed audio at variable start points, queue-specific content, and rhythm matched to perceived wait time all measurably change that decision. Choice Catalyst's work names exactly which lever changes which behaviour.
Where are you based?
Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We work with operators globally.
Can my agency or integrator partner with you?
Yes. CARMA accepts content from any agency you choose. CubeMC partners with AV integrators worldwide. For partnership inquiries, use the partnerships line on /contact.
How do I get in touch?
Each business-line site has its own contact path. For group-level inquiries — partnerships, channel, press, or anything cross-brand — use /contact.
